PERU – Commemorative flags made by LaSalle-Peru High School’s Art Department students are flying high around the city of Peru. Fine Arts Teacher Julie Jenkins says three of her outstanding students’ designed commemorative flags with blue, white, and army green colors that feature certain landmarks around town. Chloe Bruce and Danica Scoma designed a flag with the Illinois 251 Bridge. Brianna Strehl designed a flag featuring Peru City Hall’s clock tower with the city’s establishment in 1835.
