Vermilion River Area at Matthiessen State Park closed on Wednesdays

OGLESBY – The Vermilion River Area at Matthiessen State Park will be closed on Wednesdays through March. Site Superintendent Alvin D. Harper Jr. says
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service is participating in Chronic Wasting Disease sampling and monitoring at this time. The Matthiessen Dells Area will be open as usual with hours of 7 a.m. to sunset.
