Love at first sight for one Washington family

WOODINVILLE, WA —  Sherry Lankston, mom of two in Woodinville, Washington came across a photo of Harvey by luck.  Her family wasn’t actively looking for a second dog, however, as soon as she laid eyes on Harvey, it was love at first sight and she knew she needed to bring him home.  Harvey, a two-year-old Husky with a funny face was in the San Diego Department of Animal Services shelter in Carlsbad, California.  He was named Harvey after the DC Comics character Harvey Dent or “Two Face”.  He has a goofy smile that the veterinarian believes was caused by a bite when he was a baby.
Sherry called the shelter and was on the road the next day with her two children and pup River to go meet Harvey.  A 20 hour drive and three days later they arrived and Harvey immediately took to the whole family. The following day, her husband Robert flew down to join them.  When he arrived Harvey just walked up to him and leaned into his legs and accepted the whole family as his own.
The family packed back up and headed home where Harvey got to meet the rest of the family, four cats named Angel, Nimitz, Mak, and Momo as well as a snail named Gary.
