HENNEPIN – A fire on Thursday heavily damaged parts of a home in Hennepin. The Granville-Hennepin Fire Protection District were called to the 800 block of East Market around 7 PM. Authorities say the residents had evacuated but heavy fire was showing. The high winds contributed to the rapid spread of the fire according to the Fire Department. In a press release, the Hennepin Fire Department noted the home suffered heavy fire damage to the rear of the structure and heavy smoke damage throughout. Assisting in the blaze were Standard Fire, Bureau Fire, Princeton Fire, McNabb Fire, Magnolia Fire and PC EMS ambulance. The cause appeared to be accidental, according to officials.
