Livingston County Health Department spreads awareness for National Child Abuse Prevention Month

The month of April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the Livingston County Health Department is creating awareness of its prevention services to help protect children and support families. The health department is reminding residents of their services to support the well-being and safety of growing Livingston County families.
Better Birth Outcomes (BBO) is dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of expecting mothers and their babies through prenatal supportive services.
Illinois Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) provides supplemental foods, nutrition education and referrals to health care, at no cost, to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five.
Healthy Families Illinois is a voluntary home visiting program helping new and expectant parents strengthen their family’s bond and well-being, while reducing the risk for child abuse and neglect.
