Senator Rezin: “Sad Day in Illinois” after Gov. signs new abortion bill

SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Sue Rezin says it’s a sad day in Illinois after Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed sweeping protection for abortion Wednesday. Sen. Rezin says, “Taking away all remaining rights for the unborn is not something we should be celebrating. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.” The bill allows for late term abortions up to nine months of pregnancy or birth for any reason including sex selection and allows for partial birth abortions. The bill takes effect immediately.
